I did a web search, upon returning recently to Norman and driving the old streets. Tom and I were Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers in 1974 at OU. He had the hottest 442 ragtop, late model at the time, and definitely traveled in style! Both of us were from Enid but loved OKC, Dallas, and the times in which we lived.

It's almost 2 years since you went to be with our lord. I miss you so much our long talks & the advice you would give me whether I wanted or not. I thank God that I had you as a father in law & so greatful you were the grandfather of my babies. Christian is in high school & your sweet aspen is in 2nd grade. I know you are standing proud of your son, he has taken what you have taught & done amazingly. I know you would be proud. I remind them of the love you had for them, & what an incredible person you were. There are times & I need advice & just think what would Tom tell me. You are always & forever in our hearts. We love you Tom.

It's almost Been a year sense you left us. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't remember you. We keep your memory alive in your babies. Oh how I miss you Tom. I know you are in heaven with no pain, and I know that 1 day we will see you. Please keep watch over your son as he rides your bike in your memory. I miss you so much. Stephanie (daughter in law)

Tom was so helpful to me when I lost my husband. It was a blessing to have him as my neighbor. I remember recently he was on the side of the road with his motorcycle and we thought he was broken down but the caring person he was he had a stick and was removing a snake from the road so that it wouldn't get run over. He said I don't like snakes but sure don't want him to get hit. Al and Martha if you need anything at all I am right next door I will miss him.

Tom was a "One of a Kind" Guy. So caring and pleasant, and always eager to say hello. We live on the same street and have been neighbors for years. He has seen our child grow up, always offering a smile, and we have had many a talk when time allowed. His gentle wave as he passed by will be greatly missed. May his family know how others will miss this man and his influence. He was a wonderful friend and a great neighbor. May you RIP Tom, and await our reunion.

It's been almost 40 years since I knew Tom. We dated for a couple of years, and then went our separate ways. Those were young and crazy times - times when you do things that worry your parents and that you hope your kids never do. There were a lot of fun times that I will always cherish - and we survived! Even in that time of youthful self-involvement and carefree emphasis on having a good time, Tom was a seriously nice guy. He cared about people and wanted to help if he could. On the day of our first date, my sister let me know she was moving. I had promised to help her move. I let Tom know about it hoping we could reschedule. He immediately said he could help and not only graciously changed his plans with very short notice but spent the evening working hard to help some strangers move into their new home with warmth and humor. That was my introduction to Tom. I remember him saying nice things about people, but don't remember him ever saying bad things about anyone. I wish I had had the chance to talk with him again later in life, to hear about where life had taken him; to thank him for being so kind and let him know how much I appreciated knowing him.

I wish you hadn't had to leave so soon, Tom. I'll catch you on the other side.

Tom and I crossed paths daily as he walked his dogs and I rode my bicycle. Sometimes we visited - other times we just exchanged hellos. He was always a pleasant person to visit with. I will miss seeing him in the neighborhood.
